Moscow will respond to NATO approaching Russian borders ‘accordingly’ – Putin

If NATO threatens Russia’s territories Moscow will respond to the threat accordingly, said President Vladimir Putin. This comes after he announced Russia’s strategic forces will be getting over 40 new intercontinental ballistic missiles in 2015.

“If someone threatens our territories, it means that we will have to aim our armed forces accordingly at the territories from where the threat is coming. How else could it be? It is NATO that approaching our borders, it’s not like we are moving anywhere,” Putin said speaking at a joint media conference with Finland’s President Sauli Niinisto in Moscow on Tuesday.

He said at the moment he sees no threat in the alliance’s activities, since the missile defense system wide deployment is a bigger threat.

“I’d refrain from whipping up emotions. Of course, we will analyze everything but so far I see nothing that might prompt us to [take responsive measures],” he said. “What worries us more is the anti-missile defense system that is being deployed – that is a significant thing of strategic importance.”

The comments come after The New York Times ran a piece Saturday, which said the Pentagon could store “battle tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and other heavy weapons for as many as 5,000 American troops in several Baltic and Eastern European countries.”

Day later, Poland and Lithuania revealed on-going talks with Washington to host US military equipment warehouses. This prompted a harsh reaction from Moscow; Russia warned that it has no binding obligations limiting its armed forces in its Western region.

“Russia will have no other choice but to boost its military potential along its western borders,” General Yury Yakubov, a senior Defense Ministry official told Interfax Monday. He added that a military buildup would affect tactical groupings in the Belarus and Kaliningrad region.

On Tuesday morning Putin stated that in 2015 Russia’s strategic forces will be getting over 40 new intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs).

In response to all these statements, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg accused Russia of “saber-rattling.”

This nuclear sabre-rattling of Russia is unjustified. It’s destabilizing and it’s dangerous. This is something which we are addressing, and it’s also one of the reasons we are now increasing the readiness and preparedness of our forces,” Stoltenberg said during a news briefing in Brussels on Tuesday.

He added that NATO is making sure it “provides the terms of protection of all allies against the enemy.”

NATO forces are currently holding military exercises in Poland codenamed Noble Jump. Their aim, according to Stoltenberg’s interview to the Polish Press Agency, is to show that the Alliance can quickly deploy its forces to any of the member countries.

The drills involve about 2,000 soldiers and some 500 pieces of hardware, including tanks, jets and helicopters. The scenario is based on a hypothetical conflict with several countries taking part. It is the first official exercise of the NATO ‘Spearhead’ force established in Europe to counter what Alliance commanders have repeatedly dubbed ‘Russian aggression’.

Washington also made a statement following Vladimir Putin’s announcement about additional ICBMs.

“It does concern me,” State Secretary John Kerry said, answering a reporter’s question at a briefing. “Nobody should hear that kind of announcement from the leader of a powerful country and not be concerned about what the implications are.”

‘US, EU fails to put enough pressure on Kiev to implement Minsk deal’

Putin made the fresh statements at a media press conference with Finland’s President Sauli Niinisto in Moscow on Tuesday evening. Besides NATO, the two leaders talked much about the on-going crisis in Ukraine and Russia’s role in its resolution.

Putin said Moscow considers the Minsk ceasefire agreement to be ‘fair and balanced’ and criticized the US and EU for failing to make enough effort to pressure Kiev.

We consider [the Minsk] agreements to be fair and balanced and we are exerting the possible pressure on one of the sides of the conflict – on the unrecognized Donetsk and Lugansk republics,” Putin said The eastern Ukrainian republics are ready to hold talks on all points of the Minsk agreement, he said.

Putin noted that “none of the points of the [Minsk deal] are sole responsibility of Donbass, primarily it’s the responsibility of Kiev authorities.”

He also criticized the EU and the US leaders for failing to exercise “enough pressure on Kiev authorities” in the implementation of the ceasefire agreement. There is “no alternative” to the Minsk deal and “as hard as it may be we should follow this path,” he said.

The sides of the conflict “should sit down for direct talks” as there is “no other way,” he added.

Niinisto, in his turn, said that Moscow and Helsinki were actively participating in the OSCE work and pledged that the work would continue.

At present, everybody should exert maximum efforts to restore peace in Ukraine and remove the current strains that are present in Russia’s relations with the West,” he said.

Saudi Arabia starts bombing Yemen – envoy

Saudi Arabian forces, joined by nine other countries, have launched a military operation in Yemen against Shiite Houthi rebels, the Saudi ambassador to the US said. The offensive, which started with airstrikes, will also involve “other military assets.”

According to Ambassador Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, the military operation in Yemen started at 7 p.m. EST (11 p.m. GMT). The US is not participating in the operation, the envoy stressed.

Al Arabiya reported that warplanes of the Royal Saudi Air Force bombed positions of Yemen’s Houthi militia, targeting their air defenses.

Reports from the ground indicate that Saudi forces have bombed an office belonging to Houthi rebels in Sanaa’s Jiraf area, with many casualties.

Residents are saying that warplanes are targeting the capital’s airport, according to Reuters.

Houthis are allegedly using heavy anti-aircraft fire to respond to the bombing.

Another warplane attack was said to have been launched on Sanaa’s Dulaimi military airbase. The aircraft’s affiliation could not be immediately confirmed.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait issued a joint statement saying that they “decided to repel Houthi militias, Al-Qaeda and ISIS (Islamic State) in the country.” The Gulf states said they were responding to a “major threat” to the stability of the region, saying that their cause is to “repel Houthi aggression” in Yemen.

Al-Jubeir said the 10-country coalition launched the campaign “to protect and defend the legitimate government” of Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi after his appeal to intervene. Hadi is believed to have fled the country as Houthi rebels captured the southern seaport of Aden, the deposed leader’s stronghold.

Egypt is providing political and military support for the operation, the country’s state media said. Cairo is prepared to take part in air, naval and ground operations if necessary, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry has announced.

While the Saudi envoy insisted Washington only “consulted” Riyadh, a US official told Reuters on condition of anonymity that America has been supporting the military operation in an unspecified way.

Houthi leaders have in turn branded the Saudi offensive as “aggression” and warned that it will drag the entire Gulf region into conflict.

“There is an aggression underway on Yemen and we will confront it valiantly,” a member of the Houthi political office, Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, told Al Jazeera. “Military operations will drag the region to a wide war.”

Ukraine on brink of civil war after blood was spilt in east – Yanukovich

by on Apr.13, 2014, under News Events

Ukraine is a foot in the door to civil war, ousted President Viktor Yanukovych said in his address from Rostov-on-Don, where he has been residing for over a month after fleeing Kiev amid protests.

“Blood was spilt today,” Yankovich told journalists referring to the events in the eastern city of Slavyansk. “Now our country finds itself in a totally new situation – with one foot in the door of a civil war. The Kiev junta has issued a criminal order to use armed forces and the army against the protesters.”

“During my time in Kiev, we never used such methods against radicals or extremists,” he added.

Part of the responsibility for dragging the country into domestic war lays on the US, which brutally interfere in the situation and to point out what to do, Yanukovich said.

The ousted president declared that CIA chief John Brennan visited Ukraine and it was after the meeting that the coup-imposed authorities in Kiev ordered a military operation in the country’s east.

Brennan “de facto sanctioned” the use of weapons and thus provoked the bloodshed, Yanukovich said.

Ukraine is now “inexorably” heading towards bankruptcy, Yanukovich also warned in his speech.

More Obama False Flag Events On the Near Horizon

by on Sep.02, 2013, under News Events

Dave Hodges

The British Parliament does not buy the lies of theObama administration which have been invented as a pretext to take America to war with Syria and drag its allies into the conflict. The American people, by a 9 to 1 margin are not in favor of attacking Syria. As a result, Putin is laughing at the clown that now occupies the presidency.

If at first we don’t succeed, lie, lie, again, should become the slogan for the criminal administration that is inhabiting the White House.

More Obama False Flag Events On the Near Horizon

Caught Again!

Once again, Obama has been caught with his “false flag hand” in the cookie jar. With increasing doubt over the “official story” that Assad crossed the “red line” and used chemical weapons against his own people has been called into question. The Obama administration has responded by releasing the  following unclassified U.S. intelligence report disseminated on August 30thby the White House which concluded that there was “high confidence” that Assad’s forces had used chemical weapons several times in the last year, including the August 21st attack in the suburbs of Damascus.

“We have identified one hundred videos attributed to the attack, many of which show large numbers of bodies exhibiting physical signs consistent with, but not unique to, nerve agent exposure. The reported symptoms of victims included unconsciousness, foaming from the nose and mouth, constricted pupils, rapid heartbeat, and difficulty breathing. Several of the videos show what appear to be numerous fatalities with no visible injuries, which is consistent with death from chemical weapons, and inconsistent with death from small-arms, high-explosive munitions or blister agents. At least 12 locations are portrayed in the publicly available videos, and a sampling of those videos confirmed that some were shot at the general times and locations described in the footage.   physical symptoms verified by medical personnel and NGOs, and other information associated with this chemical attack.”

How does a YouTube video demonstrate “rapid heartbeat?” These murderous criminals cannot even concoct a believable cover story.

al ciada

In a case of “it is as we say it is,” the intelligence report went on to state that the Syrian opposition, who is in actuality, the CIA backed al-Qaeda forces in the region, does not have the “capability to manufacture 100 videos” of gas attacks upon the Syrian people. Really? The Syrian people cannot find and use 100 videos and upload them to YouTube? And even if Obama was telling the truth, the CIA could certainly have created 100 YouTube videos on their own.

If the US intelligence community had this information on August 21st, then why did it take nine days to become publicly available? If Obama’s goal was to prevent the further loss of innocent life in Syria, shouldn’t this information been immediately made publicly available? Shouldn’t a copy of the report have been made immediately available to the United Nations Security Council? If Obama wanted British support and participation in the upcoming American massacre of innocent Syrians, shouldn’t Obama have immediately made this information available to Parliament BEFORE they voted to not help Obama start WWIII?

If Obama was telling the truth in the August 21st report, shouldn’t every media outlet in the world have been immediately provided a copy of the evidence? Why is this evidence only now being made available AFTER the British rejection of our failed Syrian policies?

America, you are being asked to believe the fiction and accept the fact that we are going to commence WWIII based on series of YouTube videos. This kind of evidence wouldn’t even be admissible in traffic court.

Obama Thinks the World Is Dumber Than a Box of Rocks

Falsely using videos to mislead the American people as well as the rest of the world are not new behaviors consistent with the past behaviors of this administration.

I seem to recall that a rogue video was given as the reason that this administration used in order to fabricate an excuse as to why al-Qaeda would move to kill Ambassador Stevens and his security team nearly a year ago.  Let’s reflect back to the early days following Ambassador Stevens  assassination as the administration was clumsily attempting to establish a case for plausible deniability for their involvement in the murder.

September 16 — Susan Rice, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, on CNN’s “State of the Union” with Candy Crowley

“There was a hateful video that was disseminated on the Internet. It had nothing to do with the United States government, and it’s one that we find disgusting and reprehensible. It’s been offensive to many, many people around the world. That sparked violence in various parts of the world, including violence directed against Western facilities including our embassies and consulates.”

On CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Rice also said that, “We do not have information at present that leads us to conclude that this was premeditated or preplanned.”  Subsequently, Susan Rice was asking the American people to buy the fiction that Stevens was killed by a flash mob over a video that nobody watched in the Middle East.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Obama is caught, once again, dipping into his false flag playbook in order to justify more murder and more crimes against humanity.

Who Cares?

Even if Assad did use chemical weapons against his people, and he did not, who cares? This is an internal matter for the Syrian people to deal with. Syria has done nothing to the United States. Syria poses no threat to anyone outside of Syria.

Has Obama appointed himself to become the judge, jury and executioner of the world? The United States has no right to enter into Syria no matter how many false flag attacks that Obama manufactures.

A Bad Omen for the American People

If Obama is foolish enough to go it alone in Syria, the American people need to be forewarned about what could lie ahead in order that our people can move to protect themselves from the consequences of living under this lunatic administration.

When and if Obama attacks Syria, I have had multiple sources inform me that Putin is prepared to strike Saudi Arabia. This could potentially stop the flow of oil from the Middle East. The United States government would immediately move to restrict private access to fuel in this country in order to conserve the reserves inside of the United States. This would paralyze our economy as our grocery stores and major retail outlets, which operate on real time delivery principles, would be virtually empty in matter of days. Our American way of life would end on this note.

America is facing the distinct possibility that Obama will use multiple false flag attacks on American soil in which Syria and possibly Iran take the blame. This would provide Obama with the pretext  and the moral high ground from which to prosecute his war in the Middle East that he is so determined to engage in.

Analysis

The false flag option is the most likely outcome of all the scenarios I have considered. This simply means that some of you who are reading these words might have to perish in order for Obama to pursue his mandate to eradicate Syria and Iran.

We should consider that the use of a false flag event against the American people fits the demonstrable mentality of this administration. Secondly, Obama needs a quick and decisive excuse to attack Syria and eventually Iran because he has some damning skeletons trying to get out of the closet. Obama has multiple scandals hanging over his head which were brought out in one short time frame in the mainstream media duringa 30 day period in May and June.

It is apparent to all that the release of this information on these multiple scandals was orchestrated because the release of information occurred in such a tight time frame. Any one of the following events could be grounds for impeachment and are far worse than anything ever done by Richard Nixon.

These scandals include but are not limited to the following:

1.The IRS spying on Obama’s political enemies.

2. The NSA spy scandal.

3. More damning information on the murder of Chris Stevens.

4. The AP reporters spy scandal.

5. Rumblings of resurfacing the Fast and Furious scandal in which Obama and Holder shipped guns to the Mexican cartels which have been used to kill tens of thousands including Border Patrol Agent, Brian Terry.

6. The Michael Hastings murder.

Who Is Blackmailing Obama?

Who would have released this damning information on Obama and then made it virtually disappear from the mainstream media? It had to be some interest who already controls the media and this would be the banksters. These are the same banksters who desire to preserve the Petrodollar which Iran threatens to destroy by selling oil for gold. I predict that unless Obama can quickly get us into a war in the Middle East, which would save the almighty Petrodollar, he will not complete his second term and will be removed as a result of the aforementioned scandals which are being used to blackmail Obama and force his hand in the Middle East.

Conclusion

I have said it before and it bears repeating, store the essential elements that you will need to survive what is coming.

America, we are in for some very dark days as Obama will not go quietly into the night.

Obama postpones World War III till next week

by on Sep.02, 2013, under News Events

Dr. Kevin Barrett

US President Obama announced on Saturday that World War III has been postponed.

Rather than unilaterally bombing Syria, and setting off a regional conflagration that could escalate into nuclear confrontation with Russia, Obama has decided to seek Congressional approval before risking blowing up the world.

Obama postpones World War III till next week

Obama’s surprise move left observers stunned – especially Israeli leaders and lobbyists, who had gleefully assured the world that Obama would bomb Syria starting Saturday.

Obama’s move makes it likely that a cataclysmic planetary nuclear holocaust will not happen for at least eight more days. On September 9th, when the US Congress returns from its month-long vacation, legislators will decide whether or not to risk destroying human civilization.

Obama’s decision to procrastinate, and preserve the world as we know it for one more week, may be braver than it appears at first glance. Obama has been under tremendous pressure from Israel and its American lobby to bomb Syria. The script for his speech announcing “we begin bombing in five minutes” – or words to that effect – had already been written. All the President had to do was stride up to the teleprompter and deliver it. Nobody had even considered seeking Congressional approval.

Yahoo News explained what happened next: “And then, sometime around 6 p.m. ET, Obama went for a 45-minute stroll around the South Lawn of the White House with Chief of Staff Denis McDonough, the aides said. During that walk, the president said that he wanted to go to Congress.”

Some of Obama’s advisors strongly disagreed with the President’s last-minute postponement of World War III.

The same Yahoo News report explains how the Administration will try to ram a US attack on Syria through Congress: “Hammer home the potential threat to staunch ally Israel’s security.” The Congressional debate will pit the American people, who oppose attacking Syria by an overwhelming margin, against the Zionist lobby, which has Congress in its pocket, and which has been pushing hard for a US attack.

Does Obama really want Congress to authorize attacking Syria? Does he want to risk becoming the president who blew up the world? Or might he secretly hope that the American people will force Congress to vote down the war plan?

In his article “Obama’s Kennedy Moment” Richard Sheck suggests that Obama cannot directly stand up against the hawks without risking his political future – or even his life:

“Many writers have speculated that John Kennedy was assassinated because he resisted the demands of the military-industrial complex during the height of the Cold War… It’s 50 years later and history seems to be repeating itself to the extent that President Obama’s sudden ‘change of heart’ today places him in grave jeopardy from those who were hell-bent on ratcheting up the level of violence in the Middle East with the expected attack on Syria.

“By postponing and possibly stifling the plans for a wider war in the region, the President has risked much political capital and placed himself directly in the path of those who are eager to see him gone – whether through resignation, impeachment or worse.”

If Sheck is right, Obama hopes the American people will rise up and put Congress on notice: No war in Syria! This would give Obama the political cover he needs to avoid starting World War III.

While postponing World War III for one week by passing the buck to Congress hardly merits a Nobel Peace Prize, it may turn out to be one of the wiser and more courageous decisions the generally feckless Obama has made.

Though the US President has approved drone murders, bloated military budgets, anti-Constitution atrocities, and other horrors, he has at least resisted the pressure from Netanyahu and the Zionist lobby to launch a wider war in the Middle East. What’s more, Obama has made no secret of his loathing of Netanyahu. Rumors of Zionist threats to the President’s life have surfaced periodically. The Editor of the Atlanta, Georgia newspaper the Jewish Times, Andrew Adler, actually published an editorial calling on Israel to assassinate President Obama. Why? Because Obama won’t obey Netanyahu’s orders to attack Iran.

And the whole point of destroying Syria is to open the door for Netanyahu’s long-desired attack on Iran.

If President Obama is indeed playing a game of passive-aggressive resistance against Netanyahu’s orders to launch a major Mideast war, as seems to be the case, one hopes that Obama’s Secret Service detail is more loyal than JFK’s was.

By passing the buck to Congress, Obama may be saying to the Zionists: “Okay, this is your project, so make it happen yourselves. If you can’t push this through Congress, which you practically own outright, then it’s your tough luck. I don’t want to go down in history as the President who unilaterally decided to launch a potentially apocalyptic war in the Middle East. I know you don’t like it. So shoot me.”

Ex-Russian General: America Must Be Kept at Gunpoint

by on Mar.04, 2013, under Israelite Knowledge

Tactical nuclear weapons “should constantly be aimed at the United States”

Paul Joseph Watson
Infowars.com
March 4, 2013

Retired Russian General Leonid Ivashov told Pravda in a recent interview that America must be held at gunpoint by means of of tactical nuclear weapons which “should constantly be aimed at the United States.”

Leonid Ivashov. Image: Wikimedia Commons

Ivashov was former chief of general affairs in the Soviet Union’s Ministry of Defence before becoming vice president of the Academy on Geopolitical Affairs.

“Tactical nuclear weapons that are constantly threatening the United States must become the factor that will deter large-scale aggression. Holding it at gunpoint – this is the deterrent,” Ivashov told Pravda.Ru editor-in-chief Inna Novikova.

Ivashov went on to explain that Russia remains suspicious of China as an ally because Beijing continues to make decisions with the United States behind Russia’s back, but that China and Russia remain the primary targets of America’s geopolitical aggression.

“In America, it is all vice versa. On October 18, 2003, Bush signed a directive on the concept of Prompt Global Strike. A priority was not a first massive nuclear strike, but a strike with the use of high precision technologies. Glide bombs then finish it off and a country is presented with an ultimatum. If this country does not agree, it will repeat all over again. It is clear that the first target for this potential attack is Russia. But Russia – accidentally or not – may launch its strategic nuclear arsenal,” said Ivashov, explaining how both Russia and China will struggle to repel a U.S. attack.

“To attack China or Russia, cruise missiles will be used. A third of them come with nuclear warheads. Nowadays, four-class “Ohio” submarines, the largest American subs, that had 24 intercontinental ballistic missiles on board, are being reequipped. They remove the ICBMs and replace them with 158 cruise missiles on each sub. The same thing happens to “Virginia” subs. They develop a strategic cruise missile, the range of which will be not less than 5,000 kilometers. Its speed will be equal to two sonic speeds. It will be the type of arms that no one will be able to destroy – neither Russia, nor China or anyone else,” he said.

Ivashov went on to argue that Russia’s only deterrent to the threat of a U.S. attack were tactical nuclear weapons that, “should constantly be aimed at the United States,” suggesting Cuba as a potential site for such weapons, an alarming throwback to the 1962 Cuban missile crisis, which marked the closest moment that the world came to World War III and a potential nuclear holocaust.

The former General expressed the need for Russian leaders to “reformat the world” in a different mould to the Anglo-American model in order to avoid a “disastrous scenario” that would be “catastrophic” for the planet.

Ivashov called for the UN Security Council to be expanded as a counter-balance to American hegemony, adding, “The next step is to develop the Euro-Asian continental union, which includes Russia, China, India, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Mongolia within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.”

In essence, Ivashov is re-iterating the call for a multi-polar world to replace the ‘new world order’ model led by America, Britain and NATO powers. However, his call for that model to be enforced by tactical nuclear weapons aimed squarely at the United States is sure to stoke concern amongst military leaders in the west.

North Korea says it will launch more long-range rockets and carry out a high-level nuclear test, aimed at the United States.

“We do not hide that the various satellites and long-range rockets we will continue to launch, as well as the high-level nuclear test we will proceed with, are aimed at our arch-enemy the United States,” said North Korea’s National Defense Commission on Thursday.

The defense commission statement offered no timeframe of when the country intended to perform the test.

On Tuesday, the United Nations Security Council adopted a US-backed resolution to sanction North Korea for launching a long-range rocket in December 2012.

The North Korean National Defense Commission said the resolution “masterminded by the US has brought its hostile policy towards the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) to its most dangerous stage.”

It also dismissed as “illegal and outlawed” such resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council.

On December 12, 2012, Pyongyang announced that it had launched a long-range rocket from the Sohae Satellite Launching Station, located in Cholsan County of North Pyongan Province, and successfully placed a satellite into orbit.

However, the rocket launch drew widespread criticism from the European Union and the UN.

On December 14, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said the country would go ahead with its space program and would launch more rockets and send more satellites into orbit.

However, Washington and its allies said the North Korean rocket launch had been a cover for testing an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.
